Sadly this video, like the Amcrest Pro Software, is nearly three years old and out of date. The software needs serious updating. I like the cameras, but the UI elements shared by the various versions and platforms are inconsistent and un-intuitive to most users. Some good UI work and talking to users (hint: like me) would help this brand dominate.

2:29 Isn't setting the threshold to 100 and sensitivity to 0 the same as not selecting any boxes?

Got mine to work - it sends an email via gmail to me upon alert. I'm not at that location right now but when I am next I'll take a few screen shots and try to answer remaining questions. I remember you do have to lessen your security settings on gmail. That was my last roadblock.

This video leaves a lot out for a new user. I just sorted it out...here is what you need to do:
1. What is shown on this video is not an installed application...it is directly accessing your camera via browser. The paperwork indicates only Explorer and Safari are supported. If you're trying to use Chrome or Firefox or anything else don't be surprised if you have problems. The browser has to install some plug-ins

2. Click setup, then click Network. Click SMTP (Email). For SMTP Server enter: smtp.gmail.com for port: 587
check the login anonymously box. enter your gmail account and password. set authentication to TLS. change subject to whatever you want title of email to read. If you want to receive a photo with your email check the attachment box

3. Enter the recipients you wish to send emails upon detection. type email in the box then click the plus button. email should move into box below

4. Click save. click email test. it will say it was successful and if it is you will receive a new gmail.

I have had a Amcrest ipm 751 camera for about a year now and playing around with various settings to not miss any events (motion detection) and have not had good results. It misses a lot events, it records a lot of blank footage, it cuts out during events so you only either have the beginning or the end of the event. I have tried the PC application and the browser UI with the plugin, neither works well. It's basically a flawed product. After changing my password I can't login, it says account is locked out.

How do you shutoff the IR? Stays on when I do not want it.

So is he saying that the sensitivity setting dictates sensitivity to movement?  But how is that measured?  By speed or by distance?  I am having to assume sensitivity to speed.  He did not make that sufficiently clear. Next:  Threshold:  He appears to be saying (in a vague way) that this setting dictates sensitivity to the SIZE of the object under motion.Right?
