Solid amber light on the bar and the Cartridge icon blinks
The cartridge might be very low on toner or there is a cartridge error such as incompatible, unauthorized, or protected cartridge.

Open the cartridge access door.
Opening the cartridge access door
Remove the toner cartridge.
Removing the toner cartridge
Recycle the old cartridge.
Remove the toner cartridge from the packaging.
CAUTION: Hold the cartridge at each end to prevent damage. Do not touch the protective cover or roller surface.
Removing the toner cartridge from the packaging
Grasp both sides of the cartridge, and then gently rock to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge.
Rocking the toner gently
Remove the cover from the cartridge.

Install the new cartridge.

Close the cartridge access door.
