Why has Christian nationalism so strongly arisen within white evangelical theology and communities—as compared with other traditions? How will the contours Christian nationalism evolve and interact with the increasingly diverse, pluralistic direction of American democracy?

Yes, the stories started with Thomas Aquinas - was radically changed by Calvinism, which overtook Catholic dominance, while retaining much of the core ideology but giving it an independent turn - absolute depravity of man through original sin, the conviction that the christian is chosen by God, is special - read supreme and blessed, not only w eternal life in the heavenly realm, but materially blessed on this earth, and the view of dominion by the Right People

I also would argue that the core ideology can be traced back to the Doctrine of Discovery - blessed and authorized by the RCC before the Protestant break - the base principles have been at work for 500 years and alive and well today. The Obama elections a clear trigger ... J6 an existential symptom of the Christian nationalist socio-political crisis for which we must remedy with socio-pollical solutions ... the coming election will be a major step toward progress in the direction of this solution.
