From an outside point of veiw personaly option a looks the better plan alowing you to complete the north yard

Your making the right decision with feed area inside temporarily plus you whont have to keep opening gates to feed

Given the choice, if its really just a matter of a temporary solution until concreting is done, it might be better to do the passage. I mean, feed area now is already kind of messy, but the novelty of the new access might leave them distracted enough they wouldn't make it that much worse. The other way would mean more work down the road for a non-permanent situation, but I guess it all really depends on how long concrete would really take. If it really isn't likely to be finished this year, then the indoor option might be better, but as you said, sometimes you really just have to make it up as you go along (and since we're always a bit behind videos, I'm sure you've figured something out that'll keep cattle and farmer reasonably happy).

Feed at rear of barn because roof covers it . don't bed outside areas under new roof so the mess hopefully stays outside and inside dryer making less work for you

Hindsight is such a wonderful thing but I can’t help feeling that you should have cast those walls in situ. The walls and slab would have been finished ages ago if you had, but then we’d all be superstars if you had.😂

Just concrete the two yards you've got hurdles and gates to use as barriers. Don't really need the concrete barriers in place to concrete the yards
