Well Young, if the Pocket 2 cost the same as a flagship smartphone, I'm sure DJI could add in all the features you listed. And with your lovely face, you have no right to complain about how it makes you look. When I use beauty mode on ANY camera it automatically turns into scary mode! 😲😫

Superb review and I upgraded to the Pocket 2 from the original Pocket without hesitation because of the Do-It-All Handle and wider angle. No regrets whatsoever. I pray DJI launch the Action 2 soon as I think both cameras (Pocket 2 + Action 2) would be a formidable combo for any casual or travel vloggers.

Nice review, which notes some issues but expresses overall satisfaction with the P2. And I think that's fair, especially if we take a step back and really consider how powerful that little product is and for that price. I am a very happy Pocket 1 owner and use it a lot as a B-roll device. No client has ever noticed or complained about quality when I include DJI Osmo Pocket footage in a finished product.

I'd love if it had a wireless microphone unit, but I have regular cameras and mic setups that do the job quite nicely.

I also own the Pocket 2, and I have two requests. I'd love it if the gimbal would be waterproof. Now it is useless near the ocean, swimming pool, or in the rain. Secondly, I wish they would improve the magnet holding the wide angle lens in place. I've already lost two wide angle lenses due to the poor grip. Because they are so small and delicate, these lenses are hard to find and scratch easily. I'm actually sending my Pocket 2 back for replacement after problems with the audio. As soon as I would start to speak, white noise would distort the signal. It went away when I would stop speaking. DJI said this would be fixed with a firmware update, but that was not the case. Instead of getting new unit for free under warranty, I had to rely on the DJI replacement plan which isn' great customer service.

Good summary. For me, the number one plus with the Pocket 2 remains its audio features, which are remarkable, especially the surround sound which follows the camera head. I'm not aware of any other camera which has such a feature, together with a dedicated wireless mic and stereo audio input and output. Biggest downsides needing fixing are the face tracking and the HDR mode, both of which are not up to the standard of the humble Fimi Palm 2.

Whenever I am in the office, I pan the camera across the sky while capturing Motion-Timelaps.
I love this feature the most and use it on a daily basis.

About the face problem. That's what I agreed with you last year, when you first mentioned that your face has been captured too bright and doesn't look natural to you.
The overexposure is still a major problem. That's why I dislike to record myself with the Pocket 2.

The battery is indeed a big letdown...of course I always have enough power supplies with me,
but there would have been enough knowledge and technical understanding to include a battery that lasts longer.

Well I just have to agree to all of your points, I have been looking forward to this review like a small child on christmas, sitting in front of the oven for the cookies to be ready to eat :D
