The Action 3 looks like a very good action camera after all the firmware updates to improve it. DJI does the same with its drone, they are much better after about six to nine months of firmware update improvements. The Action 3 is now a strong contender to latest releases from GoPro, the Hero 10 & 11. I got scared off by all the focus issue talk when the Action 3 first came out and didn't order it. Great review my friend, thanks for sharing.

I have the gopro 10 and will get rid of it soon for the Osmo Action 3. I'm having so many issues with the Gp10, and reset it so many times. The Action 3 just gets better with every update.

I look forward to your re-review of the Pocket 2. Murphy's Law dictates that DJI will release the long-awaited Pocket 3 the day after you have gone to that trouble! With the Action 2, with the latest firmware you can record gyro data and stabilize in post in Gyroflow (free app for Windows). I thought it was the same for Action 3. The stabilization is better than in camera and you can decide parameters at your will.

great review. another great point i would like to add is, the usb port also support almost all wireless usb c mics. i believe go pro doesnt have this feature. i bought a third party mic from ulanzi and been vlogging with it ever since.

Great review, I have and am very happy with my action 3. I do have 1 question, when I run or walk quickly, I sometimes get bouncing in my video. What setting do you use to keep it steady while running?

I like that it is reliable and has excellent battery life! I also like the quick magnetis clips.and the front touch screen! I also had the original!

I haven't gotten to use OA3 yet, but from your review, I can see that the "Nomal" colour and the lens has less fish-eye effect which is something I'd really prefer. While these are action cameras, I am actually using them to capture "daily life" scenes.

thanks for the update review. I have the DJI pocket 2 and love it, use it a lot for vlogging and other things. I have the GP 7 and been thinking of updating it but might wait to see if a 12 comes out or just get the OA3? hmmm.... hoping they come out with a Pocket 3.

I own the Action 3 for about 8 month now and I am still new to action camera shooting. You also show the 10 bit HDR mode. You show a shot looking at evening sun, but what are light condition during day time to pick HDR over normal mode?
