Video 3: A road-user's guide to the CVRT changes

This video will tell you about important changes to the Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test system that will help to make the roads safer for all road-users. Commercial vehicles, such as buses, trucks, lorries and vans, pose a significant risk to the driver, passengers and other road-users if they are unroadworthy. Unfortunately, as many as 2 in 5 commercial vehicles on our roads were found to have defects, and in some cases, these defects were serious enough to warrant immediate action. To make the roads safer for all road-users, the Road Safety Authority is currently reforming the way commercial vehicles are tested and maintained. The reforms are important as they will help to raise the standard of commercial vehicles on our roads and ensure you are sharing the road with safe and roadworthy vehicles.
