This song is so beautifully sad. It can mean a lot of things to me.

I remember the first time I listened to this song, it felt like this was the sound I so long was looking for, a sound that made me go back in time, to feel the happiness of the past times turning into the most beautiful sadness, everything happening in my mind, it could have been memories or just imagination, maybe nothing was real, even when it felt like it was.

Heard this one quote from Brian Eno talking about music and how similar it is to architecture because it requires you to bring something from your imagination into the physical world. It's like all of the buildings around you were drawn out by an architect and later found the materials and workers to build those buildings. Makes you feel a little bit better about thinking "nothing is real"... but it IS real because we make it real and that is beautiful.

1:54
"Jesus, was it you indeed,
to flirt unkindly with my greed,
promising eternal life,
when you knew it was not right,
when you knew that what I'd need was willingness and comfort there?"

remembering while this song is on makes me cry. there's so much this song brings emotion to, but nostalgia empowers all of them.

It's great how BoC's most recent stuff carries on the traditions of what made us fall in love with their music in the first place. Mysterious, evocative, eerie, beautiful and just so atmospheric!

This is the first song I heard from boards of Canada. It played on a local radio station near me. I'm happy they played it.

I dont know if its just me but. This tune makes my stomach tremble with a weird subtle fear of the unknown, together with sadness and some kind of relief that it is just what it is. Very unique feeling

I listen to tracks like this from BOC
while trail running in the forest. It spiritually enhances the experience.

Jesus, was it you indeed
To flirt unkindly with my greed?
Promising eternal life
When you knew it was not right?
When you knew that what I'd need was willingness and comfort there?

Best song EVER to breathe the stress away. This is truly amazing!
Can't help but to hear this whenever I think of my Dog, and friends
I have recently lost. I could keep this on repeat, while sleeping.

this track stirs up joyful and sad emotions. It is kind of like watching old vhs tapes that are showing the best moments of my childhood.

This is my alarm clock. This music is the most perfect dawn.
(and it´s interesting that the music that comes after in the LP is "Sundown")

Sounds pretty real to me. It's amazing. One of the best boc songs. There is a theory that we are just a brain and our whole life is a hallucination. Pretty depressing right? I personally dont believe it. But if I did find that out, this would be the perfect sound track (even though it wasn't real).

Can't get this beautifully haunting melody out of my head. Pure bliss.
