Boris Johnson has revealed the biggest return of freedoms since lockdown began in March, announcing plans to open up major parts of the hospitality and leisure industry for the first time in more than 15 weeks.
Pubs, restaurants, cafes and other hospitality have been given the green light to reopen, as well as cinemas, museums and galleries.
Having signed it off during this morning's Cabinet, the Prime Minister confirmed that the two-metre rule was coming to an end in favour of a "one-metre-plus" rule. He also confirmed that two households will be able to meet up in any setting with social distancing measures, and that people can now enjoy staycations in England with the reopening of accommodation sites.
