Superman II Deleted Scene: Non Kills Boy

Taken from Extended Version of S2: The Richard Donner Cut found on YouTube. This version of S2 adds a few Lester Scenes of the Houston Town back into the film. Among them is this deleted scene which previously could only be found in the TV Cut.

Saw this on ABC as a kid watching the Saturday Night Movie. Made it a it darker and maybe worth keeping for the establishment of their evilness.

I remember watching this on tv back in the mid eighties and finding it quite unsettling. It was the only time I ever saw this particular scene in this movie. I’m glad they deleted it, as it really did feel out of place.

Yeah, I usually enjoy darker elements in super hero movies, yet this seems a bit out of place for the type of movie this is supposed to be.
Still, an unforgettable moment in cinema. I have to give the writers props for having the balls to write such a wholesome script with such corny dialogg and then slip something like 10 year old getting obliterated in there.
Did anyone feel bad about that horse?

Jack O'Halloran (Non) said in an interview that when they shot the villains in this scene, he thought he was throwing the siren to destroy a car, and not to kill a boy on horseback....

Ursa also appeared in the Supergirl TV series, as one of the Kryptonian witches of Yuda kal😊. I love how they took elements from the Superman/Supergirl movies & used them in the tv series
