So you're looking for a new PC? If so, you'll have to decide if you'll want to build or order a custom PC or get a prebuilt PC.

You'll probably think that building your own PC is cheaper than buying a prebuilt PC, but is it though? It might not always be the case due to the discounts manufacturers get and mass production. There's also the issue with the warranty as prebuilt PCs often come with a better one.

In this video, we will help you decide if you should get a custom PC or a prebuilt PC, whether for gaming or regular use.

I want to build a pc, I just don’t see myself negotiating $1k out of my parents.

I definitely say building a pc is a great option. You can choose which part goes into your pc and it can cost less then buying a prebuilt one.

Really, if you want gaming, only get a prebuilt when it's cheaper, or you have a budget, but you have to make sure that the case is big enough to allow for later customization and part replacement

Why I hate some prebuilts

I think it's cyber power or iBuyPower who charges 800 dollars for a system with a 1050 and ryzen 3 2200g

Nevermind apparently it's digital storm that charges that much

2 mins in talking about a CPU drought caused by crypto mining. "Let's just hope that we never have to suffer through something like that again" - I literally came here to help decide whether to get a prebuilt or wait for a 30X0 to become available...

My parents wanted to buy a pre-built computer and upgrade overtime so we don't mess anything up and break something. I have told them how easy it was to build one but they said its so we wouldn't have to worry cause we don't have the greatest luck when it comes to something stuff like this on Christmas 😅

I want to start with a prebuild, it'll be less hassle for me as I'll not be lost in building one. All I need to do to is just swap parts when I need to. I also plan to buy a keyboard, mouse and monitor at some stage then the prebuild PC. It'll be a long proccess but I think it'll be worth it

Building a pc these day is easy and worth it.

Back 10-15 years ago it was a bitch, had more factors and types of cables...

U should always build your self. It can be worrying but it's also fun to learn how the computer works and how it goes together and really make it feel like your own computer

Build your own its more cheaper and plus use pcpartpicker to see if your parts are compatible

I bought a prebuilt pc, but after e half year I switched in a new case and a new power supply+motherboard, Dualchannel RAM and a new CPU cooler. So i built a pc myself and it was scary because everytime I thought I would break something, but it was fun! And such a good feeling, everytime i look on the pc, i know i built it on my own :P
