Want more techniques for Contact Combat?

We are showing an inside defense whenthe opponent's throwing the punch from a very closed gap. Please. Again, slow. Here's my body movement. Like always, off the line of fire, not to go power against power. My body will turn which will bring my arm right through. With that step, I'm just going to clear myself. Just like any other inside block, I'm going to try and strike him first or block him first on the wrist, and continue to glide into his shoulder with that hand. From here, I'm going to clear a line through his face and strike.

One more time. Boom. Thank you.

Slow. Chest, foot work. One. Back. One. Back. Now, take your elbow and try to bring it with you. One and elbow, go. Again. Take the elbow, bring it with you. One, and the elbow go, again. One. Stay there. Roll your hand down. Punch him. Boom. Again. One, two. Again. One, two, again. And the whole thing in one. One. Again. One. Thank you.

Start punching one another. Adam, punch first. Again. More elbow. Very nice, again. Do it one time slower. Very nice. Switch places, please. More form comes through. A little tighter. More elbow, more of this elbow is going to come right through. Very nice. Again. Very good.

I've been to a fist fight recently and the ultimate lesson I learned from here was the FOOTWORK or the quick SIDE STEP and BANG! I'm a right-handed guy so was my opponent. So I predicted his first punch would be coming from his right and it did. A quick side step to the left and a left hand parry saves me from a lot of pain. A quick strike to the side of his forehead and a followed up of a flurry of punches and boom the fight was over. Thank you for this, really helps.

Forearms and elbows are a crucial part of any martial art, imho. This is a good demonstration, but don't think that you can go out and street brawl from watching a few videos. Good stepping stones, but you need to get the muscle memory and reaction time down before you go out and defend anyone.

A boxer would either parry and fire, or slip/step  to the outside and fire . Doing both is isn't going to block it anymore than it is . Parry and fire or slip, fire. or slip  step and fire .

hes making it look like karate but its more of a hand sliding from wrist to elbow and almost doing a parry, its like a fast slap

I have never seen a punch blocked like this on the street or  MMA. To make it realistic - you don't know what hand is punching or the angle that it will come from. If you can move your body out of the way of the punch and block the punch, you are so quick that whatever you do will work. For comparison, Bruce Lee could not do that.

Would like to see more "left handed" tactics... I realize it's the same thing mirrored, but as a whole teaching package, not everyone will hit you lefty style.

Why call it inside blocking when you’re moving off to the outside of the opponent’s body?
