Layla Williams is the deuteragonist of the 2005 film, Sky High. She is Will Stronghold's best friend and later becomes his girlfriend. Layla is able to control any plant life around her, but only uses her powers when really necessary. She is stated to have a mother who can communicate with animals, which is most likely the reason why she is a vegetarian.

That’s the thing about naturepaths.. it’s not to be taken for gain.. you’re essentially taking control of plants and forcing them to grow much faster than they’re supposed to.. so I respect her decision to not use it for show..

There is one power use scene you forgot. It's only for a few seconds, but when Layla is waiting for WIll at The Paper Lantern restaurant; she looks at the orchid in the vase on her table, causing it to wilt because she's upset. Minor detail, but just something I noticed.
