How to Produce Drum And Bass like the PROS! 🔥

Drum and Bass HAS to be one of my FAVORITE genres! I've been inspired by some amazing artists such as Joyryde, Bou, Nesky, Subfocus, Noisia, Kanine, REAPER, Luude, Hedex, and SO MANY MORE.
I'm so happy to share with you what I've learned and created!
These sound design serum techniques & songwriting ideas can be applied across all sub-genres such as - Jump Up, Liquid DNB, UK Underground DNB, & more!

I would advice anyone that wants to dive in DNB to listen to the radio one drum and bass show, can easily be found on youtube and is presented by rene la vice. The host and both the guest DJs go every week through new DnB song as well as old school stuff and the genres vary per artist and week. Really great to find your own genre.

You're a good man, helping to push the genre by sharing your knowledge. Been listening to DnB / Jungle since the 90's and we need to share the knowledge to put this music on the top where it belongs..

MoonBoy, big up this video kiddo for real. Everything was laid out and to the point. I've been working in Abelton with my 11 yr old son. We have watched many DnB master classes and this video you made brought it all together for him and he is now speaking the language. I can't wait to finish a project together and post it for you. Respect n Blessings !

Appreciate the genre rundown at the beginning! It helped me understand what I want to produce better. Thank you!

This is the first time I've heard someone refer to it as a 'Chair Bass', it's a foghorn bro. It's so interesting seeing America pick up DNB though.

Interesting vid, definitely some good techniques in there—though I highly encourage anyone watching to put some time into actually listening to Drum & Bass as a whole and find what's for you. It's really easy for vids like these and the recent DNB surge here in the states to make it seem homogenous and sound like fast dubstep when it is now about 30 years old, stemming from jungle. America was actually very big into DNB and had some pioneering artists in the 90s and 2000s before dubstep took hold here. Personally I love it because it's such a diverse template to create with.

If you want to genuinely experience Drum & Bass and find some styles you might like, start with a youtube channel called UKF Drum & Bass—then check out a channel called Skankandbass for gritty deep tunes, Liquicity for amazing melodic tunes, Blackout Music for gnarly neurofunk and techy sounds, and lastly Liquiddnbftw for smooth liquid.. There's so many different vibes and it's been huge worldwide for ages. Funny that the US is finally catching on, and there's quite a few of us out here :) Hopefully some of you take a journey through it and find something you love!

I don’t keep up with current edm trends at all really, but I love it and am dedicated to my favorite artists. Noisia (RIP) and anybody related to Vision Recordings at all, G Jones, EPROM, Alix Perez, SHADES, 1985 label, etc..

But it really seems like DnB truly is coming up in the US. I’m glad I actually clicked this video. Usually these tutorials are weak as hell, but you clearly have a lot of love for this music and sound design and it shows in your content. Good shit bro.

I so agree with the bit about the sub genres! So much variation! Especially when including Crossbreed, a DnB/hardcore hybrid. Making even more variations possible. Frenchcore+Neuro, Jump up+Gabber, Jungle+Millenial HC. Love it! Making festivals like the Czech "Let it roll" happen, 3 days of 5 different stages pumping completely different types of DnB!
