In this video, I review the quintessential DNB sound every producer should know. As producers, we are looking for the next big sound to use in our tracks, and with DNB gaining popularity fast in the States, the FOGHORN is a sound that every dance/tech producer should know. It has all the suitable properties to make any techno, bass house, and tech house tracks have a moment. It's the fisher horn, it's the Techno finale drop, it's the bass house b part response. In this tutorial, I will teach you how to make it and master it so you can use the power of the FOGHORN.

I've been making many kinds of bass sounds to try to get to what is "IT" that makes a bass a good gritty warm dnb bass. This video changed everything and is slowly changing my understanding on the entire thing.

Please man, buy yourself a beer. Thanks.

Been watching you for years now and man o man have you helped me with serum so much. I felt like I could never put down what I wanted with sounds in serum as I was a huge NI Massive stan for years and new the program inside and out. Serum just never spoke to me though but with your help it has.

very good video! The only thing I would've liked to see is short demos of how to use these sounds in a track, as in layer it over some drums and show some example note patterns

Sadly the serum LFO is doing some stuttering for me so the sweep is not clean at all. Might be my computer struggling. Whatever the case the sound is not clean for me. I will try with my desktop pc. Great vid though
