I think the B-17 was the best looking bomber of the second world war.

The aesthetics of the B-17 beats any other aircraft ever made.

RIP Texas Raiders, everyone on board her, and the Pilot of the P-63 that collided with her.

Fantastic video! I live in the flight path of the B-17 Yankee Lady that flies out of Willow Run airport so I get to see the beautiful B-17 in action on a fairly frequent basis.

My dad‘s oldest brother flew B17s and B24s in WWII.

PS I think the year was 2010 when seven or eight of these aircraft flew together in formation. It was such an emotional moment. It was quite a sight and what an experience.

Where I work, I'm considered old.

One day at work, some of us were in a large garage talking of banal daily events when I heard engine noises. I quieted everyone and said, "Listen, that's a B-17." We exited the garage and saw one pass above is at 500 feet. One guy looked at me and said, "How old are you?"
I was fifty at the time and that event was about 13 years ago.

Too many episodes of 12 O'clock High.

The planes are awesome, but don't forget the men that fought and died in them.

Man, I wish I was a pilot... If I had to fly only one plane in my life, just ONE, it would be a B-17.

The B-17 is my favorite bomber of the War, but let's not forget the B-25 Mitchell and the Avro Lancaster of our friends across the pond! Absolutely legendary aircraft all. 💪

The first time I saw Texas Raiders was at the Olathe Naval Air Station, in Kansas, I was 4 years old, in 1975! :) Hats off to the re-enactors out in the weeds.

I think it's safe to say WW2 was the high mark in terms of style and beauty. I mean, the idea of a squadron of these beauties painted up with pinup girls flying along side P-51 escorts makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

What an amazing video. The best I have seen featuring the B-17.

The song of those lovely radial engines is muddied by the commentator who just won't shut the hell up.

Hardest plane I have ever flown but many great times in the air and on ground at shows with the people who flow it in the war. God Bless them.
