Honestly, the method used in english-speaking countries is mental. The spanish method is so much easier... but I am a spanish mum preparing kiddo for the UK system, which uses what is descrived here, so we need to bite the bullet and get on with it, but honestly, mental. Though this is probably one of the best explanations I have found, so thank you.
