Why drop the headphone jack? Did Huawei think it was all worth it in the end because of water resistance? But then again, the old Galaxy S5 from Samsung had both the headphone jack and the IP67 water resistance. And what's with the lack of a 1440p display on the Mate 10 Pro?

Now that I think about it.
I think they named the models wrong.
Think about it.
Mate 10 has quadHD display while mate10 pro has fullHD+.
Mate10 has a slightly smaller display(5.9") which makes it slightly easy to hold them.
Mate10 has the fps on a better position(front) compared to mate10 pro.
Mate10 has a 3.5mm jack while mate10 pro doesn't.
Mate10 has expandable storage (even though internals is only 64gb) while mate10 pro doesn't.
Mate10 display has a higher ppi of 499 compared to mate10 pro's ppi of 402.
Both have same battery.
The downside would only be IP67, 6gb ram(even though it doesn't require 6gb for multitasking considering emui light take on android) and oled favoring the mate10 pro.
Still I don't understand these polar differences in features between the phones.

So PRO = no headphone jack. No saying I’m against removing it, but why not have it on both or don’t put it in either. Why would I buy the pro for oled and .1” more screen

Both phones i think went backwards. Only thing that stepped up was the glass look on the phone.

The translation on screen is completely wrong! It’s too hard to translate for foreigners though.

V30 or mate 10 pro? Concerned the v30 doesnt feature AI as much as the competition and as such is less future proof. Also android updates wont be too timely with lg phones i think. Honestly it seems like the pixel 2xl sort of becomes a compromise phone between the v30 and the mate 10 pro. What do yall recommend?

This company really is making good progress, the only thing keeping me away from these Chinese companies is the dodgy software, I mean we read about the one plus software gathering all the personal data. I know all companies do it but somehow Apple is the only company which has won my trust.

...So what's so "Pro" about a slightly lower resolution display (even if it is OLED), no SD support, and lack of a headphone jack? Oh, some of the software processing algorithms run a tad faster in the Pro, but so what? Only a by-the-numbers tech geek is going to pay attention to that shit!

Huawei could have been the first smartphone with display fingerprint but instead they place it at the bottom and home button at the back. Smh. Its like everywhere.
