The "just dont kill me" part in the clip is the part of Mr. Beast's reputation that I dont think can be changed, even with a trial. Some of his content has really made people question the ethics of what he has been doing, and I dont think people are looking favorably on him, especially on top of the allegations of sex offenders on the show, and the very morally questionable giveaways to sell products to minors.

I think the perception is also worse for him, that he was delete past recordings, and now this... It seems to me that he was trying to destroy evidence in preparation for this lawsuit, or as a way to cover up unethical behavior, because why would you delete vids at all?

The problem is that it doesn't matter if Dogpack's claims are false or not. Beast is threatening him with defamation, which would need to conclude that he was lying with malicious intent. Even if it just ends up being that Dogpack is wrong but still wholly believed everything he claimed and it was all just due to individual perspectives leading to bad interpretations, Beast still wouldn't be able to get a claim of defamation to stick.

That's why defamation claims rarely actually go to court unless they're against someone who one side is confident they can bleed them out of any legal funds. Because actually winning is extremely difficult unless you've got some clear cut one and done evidence that one side was fully aware they were slinging bullshit and did so specifically with intent to harm.
