Masking the weaknesses of the oline in pass protection was more about pocket movement and off platform plays by Purdy than it was about Shanahan.
It’s my belief that Shanahan needs to put more rollouts etc into his offense this coming year, to get Purdy on the move and give defenses different looks.
Purdy isn’t the statue that Jimmy G. was.

While I find Aiyuk's increased demands frustrating in the context of the team and the salary cap, as well as unrealistic compared to his talent (he's a $20-25 million per year guy, tops), I do understand. The guy lives in the Bay Area of California. If his yearly check is $25 million, he'll be lucky to get $10 million after taxes 😅 and the insanely high cost of living. Plus the infuriating truth that the state of California will waste all that money on it's own self-destruction, which will further increase the cost of living while decreasing the quality of life.

Niners should have traded Brandon before the draft and then they could have gotten up in the draft and got one of the top rookie wr's.

Don’t want aiyuk back because the locker room likely pretty upset with him, he’s crying about money levels the rest of the team wishes they could get in their entire careers.

They’ll have to give him 30mil. To cover wat he would save in pittsburgh

Dude is not going to be there next year and probably won’t get paid the way he wants because that team has too many people to pay and he’s not even that important to the offense. He can be on a SB contender or he can not be, that’s really the option he has now.

If the Steelers weren't cheaper than the niners, the trade wouldve been done 😅

Low Balling the 49ers, Steelers cheap as usual

For the 9ers this drama was so avoidable you could have traded him before the draft and way better compensation from Pittsburgh or other teams. Or they could have just gave the man the money when he asked 28m per year is not bad for ayiuk that’s around Amon ra st brown, and Jaylen waddle money which he is around that level. Seem like the 9ers were hoping ayiuk would play on his last year cheap because this thinking is so dumb.

49ers got their tools out here fighting for leverage,
🤣🤣🤣

Steelers really thought they were gonna low ball the 49ers when the 49ers have all the leverage with BA and 5th year option 😂😂

And San Fran isn't making the super bowl this yr if they did they will lose again 😂😂😂

Chris is being biased. Niners don’t hold all the cards, Aiyuk has all the leverage. He can sit, then Niners don’t have a WR1 anyways. If try and franchise tag him next year they’ll be in the same situation as this season. They need to trade him and trade him soon. Or, they can pay him his full asking price, which is what he wanted anyways. Steelers can wait, Niners need Aiyuk more that the Steelers do.

San Fran can keep that soap opra of a player Pickens is better anyway we don't need BA in the burgh.

Bro calling Kyle Shanahan great!! Let’s slow that talk down you Sycophant!! Three Super Bowl chokes!! The history is not appealing, niners fans don’t like the prolific big game losses

Without proper trade compensation from another team and the fact that Auyuk is already under contract with the niners for 2014 season, the niners might be tempted to play real hardball with him. As 49er fan, I hope that Aiyuk agrees to a long-term deal with proper increase in guaranteed money and lower hit for each of those years on cap limit.
