Yeah maybe in tournament play, but when you're on a busy course and playing casually, just go play the provisional if you know the first one is waaaay OB

If you declare it unplayable, can you use the provisional as the "going back to spot of original shot" or so you have to re-tee a third time?

Option D, pick up ball 1, smack ball 2 into the woods, play ball 1 from ball 2’s position, shoot double par, write down 1 under, drink a beer

What you do is find it, then keep looking until 3 minutes has elapsed

We have a set couple of rules we play to. Nearly all are PGA rules with minor changes to keep the game fun and at a quick pace. Just agree to a set of rules before starting and you're good.
