I'd like to think the guy in the woods just walked passed an injured person and ignored them and this is his "asking for a friend" moment.

“I wouldn’t even answer the phone for $200.”

As a professional engineer, I completely understand. 😂

Good Samaritan laws protect you if you render aid. They do not require you to render aid. The wiki page shown literally says NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH DUTY TO RESCUE right underneath the title. Which you'd know, if you weren't too short to see the screen.

Gotta admit, that guy on the ladder had great reflexes!

Also Tom, looking at your site now and I love how it's set up!! Especially with the accident updates!

Attorney Tom! Speaking of the dude in the woods - would love for you to react to an incident that happened on a Cruise Ship. A lady was left by her friends, cause she wanted to continue partying, she became extremely drunk and walked off with an unknown man. He was the last to see her alive. Security cameras caught her flying off the edge of the ship, top floor, plummeting to the ocean below. It was only discovered 15 hours later, by then it was too late to find her. The family did sue the cruise ship and the cruise was found not liable - however, the kicker is that the dude said he saw her go over the edge, looked and couldn't see her anywhere - so he grabbed another beer and went to bed! How is he not liable? How is he not a suspect for murder? Why was the cruise not liable for over serving her alcohol? How would this case have been different had this not been on a cruise in international waters? Would love to see more reactions on cases like these, tho I understand they aren't in your wheelhouse, per se. Love the OSHA violations/catastrophic incidents that you do with USCSB!

The hand sanitiser one reminded me of the times I’ve worked as a nurse with alcoholics and for both our liability and their health we have to clear the ward of hand sanitiser so they wouldn’t drink it…

That whole "walking past the injured people" thing is a major part of high-level mountain climbing. They literally ALL do it and love to badly justify leaving others to die in order to keep climbing to the top of a stupid rock whenever it comes up.

The knowledge ruler bit was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time 😂 editing overall on the episode was top notch. Great job Tom and editors!

This is one if the funniest reddit review video's Tom has ever made. The editing was the icing on the cake, give your editor a raise Atty. Tom.

Thom is at least 6'5" and 230lbs. You can tell by how tall he is in his office

Good Samaritan laws are there to protect those who want to help and ends up actually making it worse. They do not create a duty to help.

Your editors are on another level. Love all your videos. Knowledge tape measurer editing was a short of its own that was 10/10

This video was heavily edited and reminded me of old school YouTube. I love it.

Hey Tom,

I’m a law student here in Texas, and I love your content. I wanted to let you know the editing is this video was some of the funniest stuff I’ve seen in a long time. The tape measure edit, especially coming back with the undertaker was hilarious.

Well when it comes to the OSHA thing, a lot of laborers have to buy their own tools, get paid by the job not the hour, and following safety rules do impede on the speed of the job. So the Laborer is caught between safety and being able to pay bills that week.

Ngl this editing is really good and the fact this is an attorney’s channel is perfect

Never has a 6'+ man gone to such lengths to make himself look short.
Paused at 7:51. Doesn't look weird. Actually looks kind of cute (for a lawyer).

Becoming a managing partner at a big law firm would be the ultimate story arc for that guy. Imagine being inspired by Tom only to face him in court.
