Just don't forget to collect any ExRefs, Fonts (.shx), or any other data that may be a main factor in your final display. Radical Purge is another effective tool outside of the standard PURGE command for reducing file sizes. But, this is still one of the most effective when reducing file size of a current drawing. He has alot of great videos to shed light on tricks and best practices for beginner to advanced users. Thanks again as always for the videos.
A new video you could do I think would gain attention is imagery and best practice for inserting, attaching, importing or embedded. Most states have free map data and of course there are the pay sites. Just depends. The old zoom in to Google earth imagery and take smaller sections and mosaic them into your drawing is def one that most don't use. It takes a little work depending on the area, but the final product is rewarding knowing that the resolution can hang with the paid imagery sites. There are tricks as well to give that really good sharpness. Tricks like SuperHatch where the grass looks as real as it does on your front lawn. Take care.

hello i have done almost everything to reduce the file size of a drg but still nothing worked. I have used wblock, purge, audit, overkill, layerdel still my file size is not reduced

Am working as A designer my vendor asking autocad file soft copy i am not interested to give soft copy so can you help me how to give him softcopy which he cannot use that copy and can’t Modifie. As use pdf to autocad but useless. So give you give any good options to save my soft copy.

I've just tried it, and YES it reduces the file size BUT it deletes all the drawing tabs with viewport, hence that's why it reduces the size. It only keeps what is in MODEL SPACE. Treat with extreme care!!
