man, Amir, i already knew that this code was going to work since i followed step by step..BUT, just seeing that i SEMI could explain what was happening with this code to my lil brother, made me happy. THEN when i saw that i was saying what you were going to do/type next at some points, made me realize that i am actually learning. I just want to say, thank you for these tutorials. I once wanted to start programming a well-known game as a java beginner and wanted to start with chess, of course, I ran into problems pretty quickly and then I looked for a tutorial and found your video series I celebrate it right makes mega tepid and you learn a lot, thanks for the detailed description

The heart was definitely thumpin as I got ready to hit run. Had to fix one null return...Most beautiful output I've ever seen. Having a TON of fun with this. I'm a bit worried as we go on though because I try to jump ahead of you and implement things on my own before you do as soon as I think I know where you are going... I hope the subtle differences aren't going to become major later on. Amazing series so far, I've learnt so much that when I printed the board, besides getting the same errors that you did, I got a null, all that was printed was null, but after searching in the code I was able to fix it and got it working, meaning that I know what I'm doing and not just copying, read this code one week earlier would have been imposible, but now I know everything that is going on thanks to you!

This series is undoubtley awsome, I always wanted to develop a chess engine by myself. I'd like to thank you for all this hard work, I watched the first 16 videos in one day and I can't stop doing it.
Just one little remark: it would have been perfection if you had used Java Streams when possible. I'm not completly sure they came out by the time you recorded these videos, but they would have been so elegant in your code.
