Philosopher and theologian Thomas Aquinas posited 5 proofs of God based on the cosmos - and this video goes into the argument from motion, the first of the five.

Enjoy!

The four forces recognized by modern science, mentioned in the video, are themselves subject to Aquinas' argument. They do not invalidate it.

There aren’t any scientific problems with the argument from motion. Feser has made this very clear in his 2009 “Aquinas” and 2017 “Five Proofs” the latter of which also has probably the best defense of PSR currently out there. Also see DBH 2014.

>> Why can’t the first cause be a the universe itself? <<

But this has been addressed in great detail by DBH, Feser, Rasmussen (neoclassical but still good quality), Pat Flynn, Kerr, and even Aquinas himself…

The Unmoved Mover is actus purus. Noting that the universe is expanding rules out the universe as unchanging. Indeed, matter and energy are by their nature capable of change and therefore incapable of identification as the first cause.

A nice video, but you missed the simplicity of Aquinas' 5 Arguements.
Leaving God out of Aquinas' first arguement, the Arguememt of Motion is a great challenge against what caused rhe Big Bang Theory, which also challenges the arguement for the Universe as the First Cause.
Of course, mordern science now suggests Multiverses and a Super-Universe Theories.
But the question is, what caused the Multiverse or the Super-Universe in a naturalistic world/universe? Science is still yet to answer those questions which its own scientific theories pose on itself.

the five ways are all metaphysical arguments premised on what is observable or known to us empirically like motion, contingency, perfections hierarchy, and order, and from these he deduced the existence of a Being as first mover, cause, necessary being, all perfect and all intelligent being which we understand as God.

Who do Catholics believe God is? They believe God is a trinity. As the Athanasian Creed says: "[The Father, Son, and holy spirit] are one God." So, if God is a trinity, where in the Bible does it say that God is "a unity of three [persons]." Answer: NOWHERE!! At John 17:3, Jesus prayed to his Father, addressing him as "the only true God." Also, at John 20:17, Jesus said to his apostles through Mary: "I am ascending to MY Father and YOUR Father, to MY God and YOUR God." So, clearly, the God of the Bible is not a trinity. Instead, he's only one person, namely, the Father, whose name is Yahweh or Jehovah.

So, can Catholics prove that the God they serve is a trinity? NOT A CHANCE!!
