Interesting point when you were talking about jig and minnows I thought about. I take my time threading minnows on like a soft plastic. My dad just spine hooks it. They seem like they went for him more often than not which I found very odd. Same jigs and line

Nick do you see a big difference between using live minnows or plastic looking minnows? Just because of getting the fish off the hook and taking the time to go and get another live minnow.

Lindy rigs work good in spring to but i love slip bobbers this time of year

You are missing a big one, Len Thompson 5 of diamonds in red usually but in black also works with a minnow or a walleye eyeball once you catch one, winter until July it works wonders, jigs are primary but if they fail that spoon a foot of bottom is incredible
