Best spring walleye baits and techniques (NO LIVE BAIT!)

Got nothing against draggin’ around live bait if that’s your thing…what’s important is that you’re getting out fishing! That being said, there’s a pile of killer artificials out there today that can help step up your game and put bigger fish in the boat.

Here’s a breakdown of my go-to baits for spring walleye fishing. This vid’s primarily talking natural lakes right in your backyard — not Great Lakes, reservoirs, rivers — though some of the info applies to all.

Thanks SO much for watching! 👊

*I used to fish with a Crippled Killer growing up in the 50/60’s and **enjoyable.fishing** recommend think this lure gas a smoother propeller action. It is a great surface lure.*

"No live bait" I love it! Check out a beetle spin rig if you haven't yet. It's great for shallow muddy or stained water.

Thanks a lot for the tips. I live on the Lake Michigan side of northern Michigan so the focus is on trout and salmon (port of Manistee) so the walleye fishing is much harder than the east side of the state. You do a great job! 👍👍👍

New subscriber! Wow! Very informative and well explained! I'm excited for spring walleyes! I love using jigs myself along with plastics. I also like using the snap baits! I own 3 of them all a variety of color but the chartreuse pattern.

Ok just stumbled on this video somehow. Well done video. Got me to subscribe. I fish north side of lake Erie and the grand river that feeds into it. Love catching Walleyes my best so far is a 30.5 inch I caught and released a few years ago trolling a Live Target bluegill in 14ft of water. Hoping to beat that this year
