When I was in 10th grade ( 1971) they had me fill out a form listing my mom and dad's occupation. I answered none of your business. I was suspended until my Mom or Dad bought me in. The next daymy father brought me in. He was pissed off at me for disobeying. The assistant principal asked my Dad what he did for a living. He said " None of your business" 50 years later, I still remember that.

I opened a basic checking account at the credit union I have been doing business with for over 40 years. They asked me my occupation. I said I was retired. They asked what I did before I retired. I asked why they needed to know this. She said, it's the Patriot Act that requires this information. I can't believe how far our government scrutinizes private citizens.
