Another great demo. A lot of peopke will benefit. This video will be available forever for anyone wanting to learn and you happen to be a master at explaining things. What I wish for is a draw/giveaway for an audiofuse. Hello Arturia, this is one of your customers and fanboys talking. Give Doug an audiofuse to give away. Boy is that interface impressive and so well designed. Perfect for iPads or iPhones.

Can you change midi program of any hardware synth? Like change MIDI Program MSB & LSB?

I just purchased a focusrite audio interface and it has only one usb connection. For connecting few more synths to my iPad, will a usb hub work?

Hey! thank you for this, I watched your video with the quantum sequencer. And I wonder if I can send midi straight out from the quantum to my poly 2 eurorack midi->cv or if i need that program you’re using in this as well as a bridge ? also whats this program/app called? many thanks !

Is that a DAW you're using to run those programs on the iPad? I'm trying to use the Euclidean sequencer but no midi signals are being sent out. I keep seeing it pop up om tutorial videos like these by no one seems to mention what it is.

can you do a video connecting your kaossilator to your ipad to play it and record loops into loopy pro?

What about if I want to send the signal to the same device but instead of channel omni or 1 (default) select to any of the other 16 ? I have a workstation with 1 Instrument on channel 1 and the other on channel 2

That was excellent. I am acutely aware that, as one of the newer STR inmates, I know less about the whole iOS music thing than most, and I am just as aware that I am capable of asking some basic questions. That MIDI learn thing for example- I have been all over the web and through manuals and tutorials, and I have NEVER seen that explained or demonstrated before. What’s second nature to some is bafflingly arcane to others. Anyway, that should stop me annoying Stephen quite so often... I’m off to practice me knobs!

Trying to sequence a Neutron, Crave, and Volca (not all simultaneously) through Xequence 2 and I’m having issues. (Newbie to the synth world here)

Hi I've been trying to do something similar but the other way round use either the electribe or microkorg to play the synths in garageband, not had much success . The groovebox plays everything and the microkorg midi out will play garageband but the sound is variable ! sometimes its ok but other times so quiet you can't hear it any tips ?

Amazing tutorial. Thanks a lot! May I ask, if Drumbrute was a stereo instrument, could I still have it connected to AudioFuse knowing that Microfreak is already hooked there to AudioFuse as in your example? In a fact, How many instruments I can plug into AudioFuse at the same time? Or effects devices? For exemple: Déluge (stereo), Microfreak (mono), Zoila Empress ? Would those three work at the same time on Audio Fuse? Anything else could be connected with those three? What are the limits? Sorry for my question being that long. Your tutorials are so helpful. Thank you

Thank you for this, but with a standard audio midi controller with just five pins plugs i can’t get it to work. Any idea? I can route Riffer to the audio interface but nothing happens to the micro freak. Thanks!

Hello there. Really appreciate you doing these but I'm still struggling a bit. I want to get midi out of my ipad (from fugue machine) and into my nord hardware synth (no audio needs to go back in). Do I need to use another app as you seem to be doing here, or can I just go straight from Fugue? I have a usb to midi cable, so I am guessing I will need a lightning to usb converter, will I still need a powered USB? Really sorry for all the questions and dumbness! Thanks.

THAT IS JUST BRILL MATE!
I have so needed someone to do a proper tutorial on this!
Ill need to watch a few times tho! I have an ageing ipad 4, jdxi with potentially 4 midi/ audio channels a few volkas and a recently acquired Behringer ms-1 that has midi/ usb and audio inputs.
Also a Zoom usb/ midi 2 ch battery audio interface.

Do you rekon the ipad 4 has to go? If so what do i need to get setup like this ipad wise?

Thanks again for great content. 😘

So how does one do this without one of those interfaces? There has to be a way

Can we connect the synthsizer hardware directly to the ipad via usb without the audio interface and record its own sounds via midi with cubasis for example

Another well explained tutorial Doug. If I might add something. I use a YAMAHA MD‑BT01 for all external midi in & out and it works seamlessly. All my sound sources go into a mixer unless I want to feed something into the ipad specifically (for recording, sampling, fx etc.) so it's so much less hassle to use the wireless midi connector which is small and easily moved from one device to another if necessary. Also you can use more than one by renaming each additional one. They're about 35 quid each. I've had mine for yonks and highly recommend it.
