For me this series sums up where the games have gone from X-Box One to the present. The HALO video game story was always a shallow one shot. Maybe the writers should've taken some notes from the novels.

halo misses the boat around 2007 - 2012 to release a halo movie. At this point halo isn't the mega franchise it once was. Its a niche game that doesn't deserve a show at this point

The warthog isn't gasoline powered, it uses hydrogen. Most of the vehicles on the Halo universe use explosive gas, like hydrogen or methane. Those modern SUVs and pick-up trucks are either a bad design decision or a budget constraint.

As a big fan of the games and from I've seen and heard of the show so far, it looks terrible.

This show had potential but honestly they absolutely ruined it by showing Master Chiefs face on multiple occasions which completely destroys the essence of the Chief! The sex scenes are extremally unnecessary as Halo was never about that kind of stuff. Sadly most American shows always emphasize on sex scenes, it's as if American media is dangerously obsessed with sex scenes to the point it ruins most shows. Take Marco Polo from Netflix for example, an amazing show that has loads of potential but sadly the director screwed up the entire show by adding an excessive amount of unnecessary sex scenes which lead to the show getting scrapped after only two seasons.

This was just about the worst HALO one could expect out of an adaptation. That the creator of HALO said this was not his HALO says it all.

To be honest, I only played Halo 1&2. After that I took a break from it. Read some of the novels, those were interesting. What I did like about 2 was the soundtrack. Incubus. Vgm. That was everything.

This TV series. Nah, sorry I'm not interested. When I heard how weird it gets, and decisions made. I can understand they wanted to push a different narrative, to change up from the game series. But. Ahem butt.

This show made me say "Halo is boring" and for that reason, I'm out. Also, Halo 2 cutscenes > Halo TV series vfx

I'm a huge Halo fan that is friends with a ton of Halo fans that read all the comics and books. The general consensus is that it's good. 7/10

There were some off decisions, and the cut episode/stories due to COVID-19 made some story arcs nearly useless. There were some missed opportunities as well. But it's a decent sci-fi show with a lot of potential. Star Trek:TNG/DS9 had average first seasons which became great. I would argue the story in Halo 1 was also just "good" and made great through the sequels and novels.

So I'm definitely looking forward to see what happens next.

Halo needs to lean into the action-scifi genre and hopefully it gets enough budget for that.

I kind of wish they didn't touch video games and turn them into movies/tv shows because they are already perfected in video game form. Just my two cents.

I haven't watched this yet (I don't have nor intend to pay for another streaming service especially for only one show and maybe soccer), but something about the lighting/coloring is off from what I have seen. It doesn't "look" like 'Halo.' Lots of overcast or incorrect sunlight and the interiors aren't quite right. I don't know what exactly, but it's off-putting.

3/10 at best in my book…that was way too high of a rating for an out-of-touch money grab that leaves fans disengaged and outside viewers uninterested. Didn’t master chief take his helmet off on episode 1? What a disappointing use of this legendary license.
