I was placed on a PIP at my last job, and trust me number one you said perfectly. They will gaslight and over hype the PIP to make you look incompetent or fit a skewed narrative. I just entertained it for a week and resigned, I couldnt degrade myself especially after mentally checked out.

I notice a lot of times they have excessive documentation. Like they will take something you wrote where you had 3 punctuation errors and say 3 failed deliverables . I think now, someone really has to hate someone to write these things or have a sick mind lol...

I was placed on one. Is there any point on expressing myself diplomatically about some ways I felt intimidated just after my two week orientation? Who would I voice that to?

If your boss even tries to put on you on a PIP, start looking for a new job.

Tip 1-Listen to the I mean "concerns."
Tip 2-Say you need 24 hours to lookover this
Tip 3-Walk off of the job

I was given a "verbal" PIP. Nothing in writing. The term PIP was mentioned several times, and it has been hinted that I am already on one, yet I never had a formal meeting or saw a written document. What is happening here?

Get your documentation and file a complaint with the labor board immediately, this will protect you because the company does not want a lawsuit Especially if they're using this tactic to get rid of you
