Nice video Tim! We have so many choices in the type of translations that are available in English. My personal top five are: NKJV, NASB, ESV, CSB, and NLT. I just started using a LSB and really loving it too!

I loved your book! My grand mother and my mother were both Sunday school teachers, but I was not into church when I was younger. Watching your videos got me into it again at 68. I am a book collector also . So your costing me money on a new aspect of collecting now LOL.Why don't you talk more about parallel Bibles ? I have one and having four translations on two pages in the same book really helps .

I like your use of Romans 12:2. A week or two back, it was one of the verses touched on in a Bible study group I regularly attend. The verse was read from the NKJV, and my contribution to the ensuing discussion was to read it from the NLT, which seemed to be appreciated.

I use the NKJV, CSB, and the NLT for studying, development reading, and broad reading. Glad to see they cover the spectrum pretty well. Now I need the book!

Mine are all on the left side: KJV, NKJV, NASB ‘95, ESV. My favourite is not listed and that’s the LSB which I rate beside the NASB ‘95 and the KJV because it is the perfect translation to me as a combination of the two but different in an amazing way.

Hey Tim….have enjoyed your book and todays synopsis of Bible translations spectrum. Came across a verse today in my reading that really shows the benefit of reading the NLT and comparing to my HCSB or even NASB ‘95. That “naked” part definitely made me take a step back! LOL (HCSB) Reading such passages in the NLT can certainly shed some light on how other translations word things!!

Got my book today. 🙂 Very excited to start reading. I tend to use the NRSVUE but have been reading from the CSB lately and am really enjoying it. Have also used the KJV and the NIV.

Your book helped explain how I can use a translation like the NIV or the NLT to complement my reading of my preferred translation the NASB. Your explanations are so much more valuable and educational than what I grew up up with which was "read this, and anything else is heresy"
