Everything you need to know to get started with the spotting, view range and concealment mechanics within World of Tanks. I go through the camo rating percentage as well as how view range and camo rating comes into effect with each other in World of Tanks.

This is a highly underrated video and one that WG need to use for tutorials. You explained it flawlessly.

Yes, I messed up. The bushes modes are transparent and solid / opaque. Not opaque and solid, since opaque means light can't pass through it and is a solid object. I know... I'm a special sausage sometimes :D

Why did it take so long for me to find this video 😂 this is the kind of stats I have been looking for!

thank you. with bushes, didn't quite understand how I could shoot and then be spotted while others did the same and not be spotted, now i know.

Excellent video. I was really struggling to understand it, but you have done a great job :) My only question about it is how many seconds do you stay spotted for when you go back into concealment?

So what you are saying iiis:
445 meters is the base value of spotting and if you have 25% concealment, it drops down to --> 445m/4=111, 25 445m-111, 25m=333, 75m. Right?
So if the spotting range and the view range are a different thing, how do they work with eachother again? How does concealment rate interact with them?
I am a little confused. :(

Latest I heard is sometimes to shoot, while bushed, then pull back, wait 10s so you're not lit...

Great video and explanation. I assume movement also decreases camo rating but I have heard that light tanks do no decrease camo when moving. Could somebody clear this up thanks.

His explanation is better than WG's explanation

If it was actually true. I have an ELC Even 90 with a 60% rating without sitting in a bush. Yet, while sitting in a bush, not moving, I was spotted by a heavy that was more than 200 meters away. So either this is BS or Wargaming is interfering with the game play, deciding the game outcome...

Such a cool game and this 1 mechanic turns it into a pile of dog shit. I'll see a spotted guy, i go to shoot, he disappears and my round does nothing, then 5 people on the enemy team instantly know where i am somehow and collectively 1 shot me. I never find anyone and they all see me miles away, you have to buy a $100 tank and buy an additional $100 in gold to be able to play this game efficiently.

Doesn't work. I get spotted from behind mountains. Enemy team enjoys wonderful invisibility magic. What a heap of crap this game is. Total steaming pile of crap that'd broken. My position is revealed constantly.
