Im eating one right now. Hachiya persimmons are my favorite fruit! I like to bite a small hole into it first and then slurp out the sweet pudding like insides. I have a tree in my back yard thats loaded with miniature, grape sized ones that are also very sweet when mushy

Thanks for this. I ate a hachiya for the first time today and my mouth 🥴🤢. It was soooo sweet though but my mouth felt weird: it’s like eating a banana that’s not fully ripe. Oohh weeee.

I agree about the price! I get my fuyus from an Asian farmer’s market, and it’s like $1.99 for a pound. Publix has them for 2 for $5!
