If you have a allergic reaction to foods, medications, you have to take benadry. Thats what they give you at a Dr. Office, urgent care. So I have my own, at home, if I need it.
The benadryl pills, do make you sleepy. After taking it, I have to go to bed, and sleep.

My bf who has had a traumatic brain injury became irritable after taking Benadryl. He was taking 1 pill a night for about 2 weeks and I noticed a change in his personality. I asked him if he felt irritable and he said no. I think he could have early stage CTE and this could exacerbate it. CTE affects a person’s ability to be self aware. When I talked to him about some of the rude things he did and said, the way he was reacting and responding to me after taking Benadryl, he said he couldn’t even remember some of it. He was like omg, I’m so sorry, that’s not me and threw the Benadryl in the trash. We are using local honey to help with seasonal allergies now.

Benadryl makes me KICK. Full on kick boxer mode. My legs twitch and flail and completely outside my control.
