outdoors with sum back with another tier list!
moa are known for being New Zealand's extinct, iconic, giant birds - but only true fans know that 9 distinct species existed. extinct? yes. iconic? of course. giant? think again! for some, size made them powerful - for others it was sneakiness. the only way to know for sure which was the most powerful? a tier list of course

01:21 - explaining the tiers
03:33 - little bush moa
04:31 - heavy-footed moa
05:13 - stout-legged moa
06:28 - South Island giant moa
07:21 - Mantell's moa
08:08 - eastern moa
08:57 - upland moa
09:59 - North Island giant moa
10:35 - crested moa

Moa vs. Haast's Eagle would've been the King Kong vs. Godzilla of early Aotearoa. Would've loved to see it

This is a great video, especially because there were so many species. Glad to see you back, how are you?
I love that description of humans, "a balance between might and incompetence." (Can we get that on a shirt or an inspirational poster)

Finally could be a true endemic species that evolved here for more than 7, 000 years. Not the same about other species from lizards to punga trees that were introduced around that time.

Great video i hope that in some future, whether near or distant they will be cloned so we can see them because these extinct animals deserve a second chance to exist, although due to their loss of habitat and because of hunting by humans we take them and kill them and hunt them for several reasons survive and not die on the contrary to be able to exist ourselves

Thanks to you I have moa knowledge. I did not know there were so many moas! It's unfortunate that the one moa that avoided being hunted to extinction still went extinct. There must have been more than one factor at play.
PS - Sick burn on humans, "A balance of might and incompetence". It hurts because it's true.
