Funny But True Red Flags In Women

These are “red flags”? I thought red flags were things like, subtly controlling behavior, having tantrums, getting angry about normal boundaries, trying to isolate you from your family, getting jealous of others that you care about, etc. You know, behaviors that indicate an emotionally unhealthy person or a possible abuser. And yes, those patterns are roughly the same in women as they are in men.

Think about it; the hulk doesn't take selfies; the hulk doesn't use pronouns at all; the hulk has not strong political or social beliefs; the hulk is not basic, being green and topless with torn purple pants is not basic, that look is a statement.

There really are red flags.
Of course, they don't depend on gender.
(1) If the time you spend together makes either/both/all of you feel worse.
(2) If you don't want the same core things out of your relationship.
(3) If you feel like you can't talk to each other about disagreements & differences.
(4) If you don't respect each other's boundaries.
(5) If you're depending upon this relationship to "fix" something about yourselves that you feel you couldn't address on your own.
(6) If the relationship takes on an "me" vs "them" dynamic.

The whole thing about confidence is so true. There are songs written about how attractive it is when a woman doesn't know she's beautiful. It means she has low self esteem. Possibly her parents never told her she was beautiful growing up, which means trauma an abuser can exploit. It also implies she's never been in a relationship before, because if she had, she would have had her partner tell her she's beautiful. Wanting a girl who doesn't know she's beautiful means wanting a girl without self confidence, with poor familial relationships, no good friends, and no prior relationships so you can become the center of her life and treat her however you feel like because she has nowhere else to go. Now that's toxic

This tells me a lot about the guy that posted the original video. He's got mommy issues, he's been rejected and didn't get the message, he wants a servant, he's not someone anyone should date.

1.) "All the same selfies"

*Translation:* "She has a LOT of self-esteem, and I'm mad that I can't emotionally manipulate her"

2.) "Uses pronouns"

*Translation:* "I think that I am a good and understanding person, and anyone who challenges that idea by validating the existence of people that make me uncomfortable should either be censored outright, or get out of my life immediately so I don't have to think about it"

3.) "Is a hard-core feminist"

*Translation:* "I can't cope with not being the unquestioned domineering authority in a relationship, meaning that I REALLY am not emotionally ready to be in a relationship... Like, AT ALL"

4.) "She's basic, all these women out here look the same"

*Translation:* "I absolutely refuse to date anyone who isn't white and skinny. Also, I only value a woman for her looks"

*Edit:* Thanks for all the love! Even the weird, out of context comments. It seems a couple of people are confused on the last one, so lemme explain: Women are VERY diverse, just as much as men (and even more so, if you count the fact that we can use makeup and dress up without being called gay). You can choose from a VAST range of body types, skin tones, and aesthetic choices if you *really* wanted to. I'm bisexual myself, and I'm well aware that there's a wide array to choose from! So if you're saying "All these women look the same", chances are that you're only looking at a VERY specific type. And that type for guys like this, is usually skinny white women. He even proves it by showing the photo of all the skinny white women as he's saying that they all look the same. Hope that helps!

Didn't he state in his first sentence "Ladies, *you* are going to hate *me* for this." That seems like a huge red flag if we should avoid people who use pronouns! My red flags are men who want a woman who are submissive and want to be supported and taken care of. I have been taking care of myself for many years. I don't need a man for anything. I only want a man that is willing to just be my sidekick and is my equal and can travel full time!
