This is the eighteenth instalment of the remastered Lorcan Film Unit Videos. There is a total of 10 hours worth of film that we hope to publish over time. Unfortunately Leslie Crowe who was the Director and creator of much of this content is no longer with us. So we are hoping to get your help to figure out the places and the names of the people he captured.

The building on the Quays @1:00 is the old Phoenix cinema on Ellis Quay. It's still there. Was a discout furniture shop most recently. Now appears to be vacant.

Brooks Thomas yard was at junction of Gardiner street and abbey street - features in scenes of burning of custom house. IRA Men escaped by having piece of paper with timber measurements and a ruler indicating they were getting carpentry supplies there.

Comments turned off on #19 and not sure how to contact you. Anyways - Volunteer Kevin Barry was born and lived in 8 Fleet Street, hence “Barry House” being at that address.
