Breeding Baby Fish | ACCIDENT!?!

Watchin a pair of angels raise their fry is one of the best experiences in the hobby. Feed them some beefy foods. They will surely lay again. Maybe as soon as a week after the first attempt. Maybe add a piece of slate diagonally or a breeding cone like the ones for discus fish. Then also one or 2 flat rocks. They move the babies as soon as they hatch to a flat surface. Also add some methaline blue to prevent fungus on eggs. Congrats. Hope next time is successful!!!

I believe angelfish form pairs so even though those eggs didn’t work out, that pair may spawn again in the near future

I would keep trying because it’s actually pretty cool when the eggs survive. We’ve had angel fish for 30 plus years, once they start laying they continue to lay very frequently, but we separate all the fish from the eggs including the angel fish as well as the one who laid the eggs because they will eat the eggs too. Sometimes you’ll have an egg or few that didn’t get eaten and remain hidden until all of the sudden you realize you have a new tiny fish swimming around - so it’s possible you might still have an egg or two in there yet.
