In my view, you've already broken free of "the guy who finished wheel of time." Your original books are top notch. :)

The way he talks about reading the draft, knowing his characters from his family but not knowing the real person, all this makes me think that is how his ideas of "the soul of the emperor" came from

Brandon looks like he's trying so hard not to get emotional.

Brandon already did all that, he inspired me like no one else, his books take me out of reading slumps xD and he's simply the best author ever! Love Brandon ❤️❤️

Well it's now 2020 and you have not only broken free, you have become the most popular author of fantasy this century so far.

Rest assured Mr. Sanderson. You have escaped his shadow, and you are most certainly an inspiration.

He sounds like Spook might if he were to talk to Kelsier.
Now I think I know where that part of The Hero Of Ages came from.

Lovely, Brandon. No doubt, Mr. Jordan would be very pleased with all you've done - not only in finishing his life's work, but also with your own fine work.

Mr. Sanderson, the fact that you took up the cloak and crown and fought us a path to an end... is amazing and very brave of you... You earned your heron marks and I hope you wear your dragons proudly.... Go forth and carve us new worlds to explore.. I thank you!

The way I see you is as a hero who took up the baton and finished the race that everybody thought would remain unfinished forever.
And like a real hero, your journey has only gone on ✊🏻

That grabbed me by the throat. Beautiful. Having read the series multiple times, the last one A Memory of Light is the only book in my entire life I've read that has made me cry. And it did several times.

Why was this in my recommended seven years after it was published? Dang it. Who is cutting onions? *sniff*

I've read everything of yours that I've been able to find but I've still never gotten into the Wheel of Time series. Everything else of read is spectacular, I see no shadow.

I wondered what I would do once I finished the Wheel of Time series. So much time and energy invested in a fictional world, I didn't want it to end. Like in the books, the Wheel turns, and the end of Jordan's era opens up for me the new(to me) works of Sanderson. I may not have ever been introduced to your writing if things had been different. Your writing complemented that of Jordan, and I have pages and pages left, exitedly, to read.
Thank you.
