Drumming To Every RUSH Song Ever! (175 Songs)

It’s hard to believe that the world lost Neil Peart two years ago. We’re grateful that his legacy will live on through his incredible work with Rush. So today – in the span of just 25 minutes – you’re going to hear the best parts of every single Rush song ever, in chronological order.

That’s 175 songs.

During the first half of their career, the band released one album almost every year – and even put out two releases in 1975!

Brandon Toews is a huge Neil Peart fan, so as a tribute to The Professor, he put together this drum medley over the course of 10 weeks.

He recorded full takes in their entirety (nope…we didn’t just piece this together song by song) and used transcriptions available in DrumeoSONGS to learn the parts. You can find and learn Rush’s full discography in the Drumeo members area!

The setup Brandon used for this performance incorporates different elements from the drum kits Neil used over his 40 years with Rush. This includes the legendary tubular bells, gong drum, and electronic pads.

Enjoy this Rush medley in memory of Neil Peart and original drummer John Rutsey.

Thanks for watching everyone! If you're seeing some ads it's due to the nature of the copyrighted material -- rest assured we'd never monetize a special tribute video like this. Paying respects to Rush's music and Neil Peart & John Rutsey's incredible drumming was an honor, and we hope we did them justice with this medley. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to check out the performance – it’s greatly appreciated! But most importantly, thank you to Neil, Geddy, and Alex (and John) for sharing such an incredible catalogue of music with all of us. Long live RUSH and The Professor!🙏🏻

My Man, I went from, "...just who the heck does he think he is?" to a teary man-baby, "This is the best tribute to Neil that any drummer could hope to achieve ...". Dude, thank so much for your hard work. That was beautiful.

"I'll watch a few minutes of it, " I thought to myself. 25 minutes later, I'm sitting back in my chair, slowly shaking my head in appreciation of your hard work, and thankful for the trio that inspired it. Thank you!

This is possibly one of the greatest videos I’ve ever seen on YouTube. Mad respect to Brandon and thanks to Drumeo for posting!

First of all, excellent job. Second…am I the only one that felt themselves aging while watching this? I got into Rush when Exit Stage Left came out and of course went back and got all prior albums and knew each song in and out. Then Signals came out and they were my favorite band from that point on. Watching you play these in order, I can actually see my young self absorbing these songs of my favorite band numerous times on vinyl and on cassettes I made. I was 13 then and now I’m 52, I’m getting old..lol

Me: “I love Rush but don’t really want to watch this right now."

Me 24 minutes later: “Damnit. That was awesome!”

More amazing than the drumming, which is killer, is just swallowing the depth and breath of the Rush catalog... I own it all, but yet it still amazes me the level of brilliance over a 40 year period.

Ending with The Garden is perfect, it is easily some of Neil’s best lyrical work.

Easily the most well-thought out and executed tribute to The Professor that I have ever seen. Simply amazing!!

I have been a fan of Drumeo for Years, and now more than ever!. I play Rush on the drums virtually everyday with my disabled son - who LOVES Rush, and loves to sit in my studio with me. I now - have a goal - I am going to commit this 25 minutes to memory and in 3-4 years 🙂 I hope to have this down. I can't thank you enough for the teaching, the journey and the pure effort that went into this. You guys are simply wonderful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

This is absolutely sensational...Not just the playing, to hear the sounds John and Neil had provided us all, but to actually set all this up, to make sure you had the correct sample sounds of the mid-80 electronics is insane to me, and then to see the tribute...Well, you've absolutely outdone yourselves on this one! How many "Likes" am I allowed to put on this one video???

This was awesome, not only the Epic drumming but where else can you hear 175 Rush songs in 25 minutes. My favorite band ever, I’m totally recharged after hearing this, feel like it’s the 80’s and I’m a teenager all over again.

As a drummer myself of 30 years ! I have to say you did a remarkable job in your playing and production.

You sir are a true professional ! Surely Mr Peart is looking down very proud ☺️😎👍 You’re helping demonstrate his work and art to another generation. Keeping the brilliance of those recordings alive.

Oh my God. That may be, one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. This not only showcases your talent, which you obviously have quite a bit of, but also is a perfect display of why Rush is undeniably in the 10 greatest bands ever. The longevity. Their ability to experiment yet still come back to that quintessential Rush sound in the end. The knowledge of music theory and how to create specifics feels and sounds in different ways. They are so unique. Just wow. Incredible.

Wow! You’ve really outdone yourself on this, the kit is incredible, the sound, your playing Brandon, you’ve showcased what a great drummer Rutsey was and the genius of Neil, and wow your playing was spot on. I think Neil and John are so proud to see their music and legacy lives on. Congratulations to the entire drumeo team. This was incredibly perfect tribute to RUSH.
