In this video, I'm showing you my favorite drills for the tennis wall. Hitting against the wall is a great way to practice your forehands, backhands, volleys and overheads when you have nobody to hit with.

The wall is a great way to practice. Be creative in finding a little bit of wall space if your courts doesn't have one. Behind a school, strip mall etc.

I was just hitting against a wall today and trying to think of things to do. These exercise ideas are great! I’m super impressed with your wall skill. It’s not easy. I have a tendency to hit too hard. I think you suggested hitting softer and going for accuracy. 👍 You really provide great content. Thank you for your time!

Thanks so much for this video. I practiced a couple of times this week with an older ball. I was wondering if there is any ball that bounces higher - as I found that compared to a real rally on a tennis court, the balls I hit on the wall bounce lower.
If there was a way of practicing high bounces on a wall I think that would help me alot.

I believe the tenniswall is for young tennis players what those sandy crappy Brazilian soccer fields are for soccer players. That's were you develop great technique! I just to train on the wall day in day out. At home too. I even trained my feel on my volleys by hitting the balls with very much precision on the roof (that was like with descending roof tiles) so that it would not go over to the other side, and it couldn't bounce so it would have to have to glide back from the top between the roof tiles and than I would hit another volley without the ball dropping to the ground. That was so much fun and definitely among the reason why I develop great volley and dropvolley skills.

wow, what a workout. I'm going to go in w/ the goal of 20 shots! What percentage power are your fh/bh compared to your normal friendly rally ball?

Meike, what is your opinion about practicing these drills using 2 ball kicks (mandatory, not occasional) instead of 1? The theory behind it is to get a more realistic court situation and giving you more time preparation and focus on executing a good technique? ty! :)

Hi, at 6:10 just wondering did you change your grip at all or just kept it at continental no.2 ? As for topspin 1 hander supposedly we use no.1 grip. I'll try these drills thanks a lot !!
