It wasn't a challenge
Intelligent players speak to coaches about tactics flick isn't out there on the pitch running

What I love is that Hansi Flick doesn't let his ego and his position dominate him. He does not take it personally trying to show who is the boss. He assertively asks questions about what the players want and is willing to adjust tactics based on what they need. Hope he does well in barça.

That’s a leader. Not afraid to speak up to make the team better. Manager can only watch from sidelines. He needs the players perspective. You can talk all day about tactics strategy but players have to adapt to make things work

Proper coach Hansi Flick is, listening to his players and discussing how they can improve as a whole instead of letting his ego get the better of him

This is great to see. The coach is not a dictator and doesn’t always get it right. The players need to step up take responsibility and challenge decisions they don’t agree with.

Rinus Michels started this culture of open discussion between coach and players since he coaching Ajax and has lasted to this day. But, in the early 2000s, the Dutch had tons of star players, each with their own ego. These discussions often got so intense that on the field, the team never played as a unit. That’s supposedly one of the reasons why they are often called as "the best team that never won anything".

Loved this kind of character. See being manager is tough job. Manager sometimes need to output from players too. How are they feeling, are they comfortable or not ?
Just loved the honesty of Kimmich

This is the way to find solutions when there are discrepancies between players and head coach. In a toxic environment where there is no confidence between both parts, the players only would find a way to try to get the coach sacked.

I don’t see a problem with this

In fact I’d expect this daily in a professional sports environment let alone a national team

This is why he’s an elite athlete and complete professional. When you’re at this level you don’t like losing. In today’s game players jump from club to club and don’t settle. This man loves his club and you can tell he wants nothing but perfection. That’s a true footballer.

This what you call communication and being a leader and not being afraid to speak freely when plans go south.
