Kurz vor der Wahl in BaWü hatte ich noch mal den "Zustand davor" gefilmt ... was auch immer dann kommen mag: Abriss, K21 oder S21...

ich bin auf die Volksbefragung sehr gespannt. Daumen hoch für das Video. Vielleicht wird es bald historisch sein. Ich hoffe ja immer noch, dass der Bahnhof so bleibt, wie er ist. Die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt.

dead-end stations like Stuttgart require push-pull trains.
But these trains require fewer locomotives and personnel of course (less shunting).

the station looks brighter than when we used it...traveling from Prag to Ostend...could not get a sleeper :( so had to use a Yugoslavian RR coach but we got there...:)

I don't know whether with ICEs and push-pull trains, it's that much of a hardship to have to reverse, is it? It seems that DB want to spend an incredible amount just to cut 15 mins or so from journey times. It'd increase capacity, yes, but it does all sound very much like a politicians' prestige project.

Interesting that the battery cart @ 4;14 seems to have a UIC number. Some tidy mind in DB must have decided that it's an item of rolling stock.
