Malcom Reed gives a tour of his smokers and grills

One could say that I have a slight problem when it comes to collecting BBQ Pits, but I really do love them all! Here’s a quick tour of my cooking area at home where we shoot our videos for How to BBQ Right.

It’s not the fanciest outdoor cooking space; but it works pretty well for what I do. It also keeps my pits out of the weather which is crucial in extending the life of any grill or pit.

If you don’t have a covered area to protect your smoker from the elements, at least get a tarp or grill cover to shield them. This simple tip will keep you smoking for a long time.

The proper number of smokers one needs is one more than he already has. Now I don’t feel so guilty wanting a fifth for myself! Thank you so much for all the great videos over the years, Malcolm. Keep up the great work!

Your "problem" has been a HUGE gift to me and the people around me. Years ago I tried one of your smoking techniques, (think it was pulled pork), and never looked back!
So long,
...and thanks for all the MEAT!

I've been smoking meat for 35 years. I was pretty good, but your tips have taken me to the next level. Thanks Malcolm!

I have a ton of respect for a man that can follow his passion. Love your vids. It's obvious when a man loves what he does. The end product has a little more heart and soul cooked in and it makes all the difference.

One of the reasons (one of many) I love this channel is the variety of cookers.

I really like Malcom's style. It's simple, and straight forward. You can REALLY hear how passionate he is about BBQing. Everything from the preparation, to the execution, and obviously the payoff at the end. I don't eat nearly as much meat anymore, so when I do eat it, I treat it like the prize position it is. It's obvious from his videos that Malcom understands that meat needs to be treasured.

I've never been more envious of a man than I am right now. Some mighty fine equipment you have there, amigo.

So all that creativity into a solid BBQ area and yet, no door to access the house from the grill without walking in the rain to your nearest entrance. AMERICUH

Man, your kitchen is out of this world. Not a bad back yard either. Looks like a nice, clean neighborhood. You're doing just fine.
