I use a product that’s formulated with both Azelaic acid and tretinoin. Love it.

I had 3 years worth of acne healed by tretinoin and azelaic acid combo. I use them at night on top of my hydrating products. Never looking back ☺️

I’ve been using Azelaic acid for a few years now and it’s done wonders for my skin and melasma. I have quite a bit of melasma and the longer I’ve been on this, the more it has helped. We’re friends for life

Yes!! I’ve had GREAT RESULTS for my melasma!! Had to work up to regular use, of course, due to irritation. I found starting with Differin & working up to Tretinoin was the key..

I have both. Two amazing products, even Azelaic acid on its own can significantly reduce acne and to some extent rosacea/redness.

Question! I love learning about the chemistry behind why and how active ingredients work for the skin. I recently started using Azelaic Acid with my Tret and saw a beautiful and amazing difference. However, when learning about exactly how it works, this answer keeps coming up.

“Azelaic acid exfoliates the skin by dissolving the bonds between corneocytes, the dead skin cells that make up the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin. This helps to remove dead skin cells and improve the appearance of the skin.”

This is what Google Bard told me. Is it just AI not using the correct language? It doesn’t actually exfoliate the skin itself, but actually aids in the exfoliating process maybe?

Can absolutely confirm. I have mild neurodermatitis and one of the serums I use (not all at the same time) has azelaic acis, ceramides and a bunch of oils in it and putting that under my cream on a cold day helps so so much to stop any inflammation in it's tracks. And if my skin is already kinda unhappy, it helps to actually get rid of the inflammation. So good.

So, does it matter which one I put first? I currently use AzA 15% gel and tret 0.01 gel. And my routine is like: cleanser, aza, moisturizer, wait for 20-30 mins to dry, tret, wait until dried, moisturizer. Idk if I am able to maximize the benefits with this routine.

Finacea Gel 15% is my Holy Grail. OTC here in Australia. Dying for Dr. Shereen to clarify the misconceptions as to what serums etc. I can use it with. Cleared my acne, helped with sebaceous filaments, redness, and light sun spots are gone. Darker spots and pigmentation are probs 50% gone at this point. I use after thermale drenching and hyalauronic acid.

I really enjoy your content and especially your delivery. Hilarious!
I’m using azelaic acid at night before Differin, and a vitamin C serum in the morning. How can I add glycolic acid to my routine?
My issues are sun damage (brown spots), hyperpigmentation (from sun damage), and rosacea.
