Bra Band: How Tight Should Your Band Be?

Problems caused by a bra band that is too loose

Duh! I get it now... I measure 29" and 90 % of bra brands don't even sell a 30" band. No wonder I use my straps to compensate for support and then get frustrated that the straps slip/stretch.

What does it mean when a bra has all the great signs - band stays in place, I can get multiple fingers under the band, the straps aren't really digging into the shoulders and all that good stuff - yet it still feels like it's squeezing the life out of me? I can still take in deep breaths, but my normal breaths all start feeling shorter and shorter until I actively remind myself to take deeper breaths. My other bra is loose enough to slip a little, but I can actually *wear* it like I'm not going to suffocate. I don't have claustrophobia, so that's not it, either.

How long the bra will last? I have bra which I bought 1 year ago and the band seems loose as the back band was riding up. so i bought new bra and was measured and tried on. It turns out my new size is the same as old size which the band is too loose. I tried smaller band size and it is too tight. I don't understand as to why i get the same size on oldbra and new bra. Hope you can help

That neat band which narrow or wide. Those little hooks have a lot to do. This lady says bra beautifully.
