Thank you so much for this! Playing this with an 80s band and driving me nuts practicing with original recording.

I love the “Keep Calm” lead-in in the beginning, from the popular image that came from the WW2 poster!❤

Thank you. Playing along to the recording had been destroying my ears.

As a guitarist who learns songs by listening and not by immediately going to the tutorial video, this does help. Lots of bands, AC/DC, for instance, tune just off of standard. So to learn the song by playing along requires retuning. I never understood why they did that. It's not like a half step, but a 3/8 step, so you can't even use a capo.
Sometimes songs are tuned a bit higher to add energy and movement to the song, but to be tuned slightly off of standard makes no sense to me. 👽✌️

Thanks for the pitch correction, brother. Playing along with the original was giving me vertigo 🥴

I feel so sorry 😞 for anyone with this phone 📱 number back then. Don't get me wrong it's a catchy tune, but imagine if someone blew up your phone back then because of this song.

The two dislikes aren't guitar players or are tone deaf guitar players lol

greetings :) i’m in an ‘adult’ school of rock, and i’ve been assigned this tune (which i love) as my ‘debut’ tune on lead vocal.

call me nuts, but i seem to sound fine singing along to the original track, but significantly worse to this pitch corrected version.

i know that’s quite strange, but it’s not all in my head (i don’t think). i know we’re talking less than a full half-step difference.

would you be able to give me the ‘cents’ number for how far from the original you had to tune this down to get it in standard tuning?

i’m feeling i’d be better off singing this song a half-step up from standard, but convincing the musical director of that is likely to be a difficult task. (edit - no, a full half-step up from std and the song sounds bad).

thanks for any enlightenment you can provide :)

edit: after much fumbling around, i’m reasonably certain the original tune is at 448 hz for middle A vs 440 hz standard for middle A. this 8 hz difference converts to about 32 cents sharp.

so the tune unadjusted is 32 cents sharp above standard. therefore flat the original song by 32 cents and you should now be listening/singing/playing along to the song in standard pitch. anyone agree? disagree?

Sounds the same to me, obviously the pitch is irrelevant to me .

Too funny. Disaster Prince Harry did he move the LA or what what's up with that? Get you some Somerset Bellanoff and ask her.🎉. I hope she can take a joke better than a Fergie

The guitar being more clear for some reason doesn’t mesh with the song
