Glad people are showing the twine, been around for a long time. Many uses cheap, people new to camping, survival etc needed to know.

I soak mine in melted paraffin and always keep about 10 feet of it in my kit. Lit with a ferro rod it makes a great wind resistant "match" or fire starter. 2 inches equates to about 2 mins of burn time. Very cheap and lightweight. Great video!

You are right about cord wrapped handles. They may look rough but man are they nice to use.

I had a larger roll than what you showed. Maybe twice the size. I have been using that same roll for twenty+ years. Half the roll is stained from having sat in some rusty water in a van that leaked.
I was happy to get to use some the last couple of days to hang up all my kitchen cabinet doors so that I could put a nice spray finish on them.
I did have a little problem though. The biggest, heaviest door went first, and unfortunately the twine broke and a corner got damaged. So I tripled everything up, and they hang for t we o days even were with a strong breeze.
I do keep some in my INCH bag and even have some waxed in my fire kit. My point is that it is not real strong, but it is cheap so you can double up lashings or whatever. Especially since it is so inexpensive you don't mind leaving it behind as opposed to paracord which you might prefer to take with you rather than leave behind.
Nice video though, I like those little silicon spools.

I've been eyeing the spool tool but can't seen to drop $20 for one, a paint stir works good as does a pencil/pen. I'm going to try the figure 8 Hobby Lobby has some Jute Rope, much bigger the twine. Then you can break the 3 strands down for smaller diameter if needed, I got it mostly for making birds nests. Thanks for sharing these helpful tips.

Love Sagewood(tm), just ordered a dangler adapter from him for my Survive GSO-6 2Gen, which I don't have yet-but hope for soon. I also have used manila rope for a firestarter- I got it from NFM when I picked up some furniture. It also works very well, and char it and wax it, like an old match lock match. Love seeing more videos dude! Harrison County!

Check the Notions/Fabric departments (Walmart, etc, ) for cheap plastic bobbins, beeswax, other gadgets. Use your imagination.

would candle wax work? bees wax is pretty exotic.

You COULD even use it for knots and lashings. Set up camp and simply leave it since it's biodegradeable.
