I have the same skunk throttle, only because I have to, stock is better. You have to adjust your iac frequency now but it's not possible with a stocke ECU. Theres no real power gain because the real flow restrictions is the stock manifold. The main way to make real hp gains on the turbo bp is to tune it with an ecu first.

Girl, round of applause!!! When I was working as a machinist we had to pressurize alum heads and cast iron doing "bubble tests" and it was like making the WHEEL. I don't know how many hole covers I had to fab with gaskets to find cracks and leaks from the valve chambers. It's easy AND fits better than OEM 99% of the time 💕 also nice Mazda!!

Lay the gasket material on top and then lightly tap with a hammer around all the edges.

Small tip, before doing the install do a gasket trace on the intake to see if there is any place you can bore out and match it to the throtle body.
Makes the air flow much better

Nice to see that you have all the right kit to donthe job. Just one thing I was told in th early days was to use a smear or grease in the 2 mating surfaces before fitting a gasket. In case you need to take'em it apart later on.😉

A different throttle body doesn't increase or decrease airflow getting into your engine, as in it doesn't make a difference you can notice. Just like a, "cold air intake, " really what would make a bigger difference is bigger intake valves, in a head that allows more airflow, a cam that keeps the valves open longer, an intake that has larger bores... Pistons with a longer stroke. Things like that.

A little tip. If you have a friend into crafting a Cricut machine or a Brother Scan and Cut will usually work on gasket material.

Daves auto center has a nice tip ballpeen hammer and the gasket material right on the part and you get a perfect replacmemt

a ball bearing works really well to cut out the bolt holes. You can use a small hammer to tap around the edges to cut it out too.

Next time, use a ball, pin, hammer and lightly tap around the edges and around your holes with your gasket material laid on the throttlebody it’ll cut all the holes perfectly

Grandpa tip: small taps with a wrench with the gaskets and its easier than cutting with scissors or exacto.
